In this episode, Ian reviews a recent Nursing Outlook paper on Workforce Outcomes in nurse practitioners as a result of changes in full practice authority legislation during the period of 2010-2018. This study was designed to assess whether instituting full practice authority legislation in states that previously did not have it might improve workforce outcomes in NPs which might thereafter have important downstream effects on health professional shortage areas (HPSA) and other important health services indicators.
