#17 Would the Ark of the Covenant Unify or Divide the World Today?
from The PUNC Living Journal · host Jerry Sadler
The Knights Templar conjure up all kinds of mysteries and conspiracies. In the Middle Ages they went to Jerusalem and set up their HQ in the Temple Mount , the site of the temple built by King Solomon. Many claim they were on a treasure hunt, searching for Solomon's treasure in the tunnels and vaults beneath the temple site. One of those treasures is reputed to have been the Ark of the Covenant which Moses is said to have had constructed under God's instruction. No-one has ever found the Ark, not in the temple area nor in Egypt where the prophet Jeremiah is said to have escaped to when the Babylonians came to exile the Israelites, taking the Ark with him. The Ark remains a mystery. Was it real or was the Bible referring to something symbolic? Here's another question to ponder, which is covered in this episode: If the Ark was found today, would it help to bring peace to the world or would it create even more divisiveness and perhaps lead to that final massive conflict where only a handful survive?
