171: The Simpsons Retrospective: Season 1

This week, we embark on quiet possibly our most ambitious project yet! It's the show that changed the landscape for not just animated television, but for prime-time sitcoms as a whole! A show that's spawned catchphrases, memorable characters, monumental moments, and has even been accused of predicting the future. A show that came from modest beginnings and was quickly thrust into the pop culture zeitgeist, and whose influence has echoed throughout the last 35 years of television. They're about 36 seasons in, a possible 37th on the way, but we are just focusing on the first 10; or what many know it as...the Golden Age.
