#174: Put Yourself in a Position to WIN

from Agents for Life! · host Matthew Wilson, Agent for Life

If you hang around Equis long enough, you'll hear the advice, "put yourself in a position to win." But what does that really mean? Being self-employed, as we know, is not a guaranteed income. Neither is a paycheck, but I won't go there right now. But haven't you seen people who just seem to get "lucky" when it comes to success? The old Midas touch? As a little league outfielder, I remember watching to see if the batter who stepped up to the plate was left-handed or right-handed. The reason why that was important to me was because, statistically, the ball was likely to go in the direction of one end of the field or the other. So, I knew I needed to adjust where I positioned myself. I moved to where the ball was likely to go. Doesn't mean that's where it did go, but what I was doing was stacking the odds in my favor. While you cannot guarantee success, you can increase your odds for success by doing the right things long enough. That's how you create your own luck. That's putting yourself in a position to win.  If you like this, you may enjoy my book. To protect your family, contact us. To change your life, join our team.
