from Inside with Brett Hawke · host Brett Hawke

Michael Bohl is a 5x Olympic swim coach for Australia. He is the coach of Emma McKeon and Emily Seebohm at Griffith University in Brisbane. At the Tokyo Olympics, Emma McKeon won a record 7 Olympic medals, making her the most decorated female swimmer in history at a single Games.  Emily Seebohm, who many had written off at the age of 27, touched 3rd in the Women's 200 Backstroke to claim a bronze medal.    Coach Michael Bohl spent 14 years at St. Peters, before leaving for GU in 2017. He left St. Peters in the hands of his Juniors coach, the ultimate warrior himself, Dean Boxall. Clyde Lewis, Jack Cartwright, and Ariarne Titmus all came through this program.    Brett digs deep to find out how you get a woman to go 51 in a 100 Freestyle. He also gets an update on his former pupil, Cody Simpson, who is now swimming under Bohly.  Bohly, as most people call him, also talks about his former swimmer and long time colleague, Dean Boxall.    "He's a 10 out of 10 communicator." - Michael Bohl on Dean Boxall Enjoy!
