179 Justice for Children with Lisa Bedlow

from Focus on WHY · host Amy Rowlinson

As an educator of thirty years, passionate about enabling and empowering children and young people to balance their emotions, feel success, self-love and happiness, Lisa Bedlow has always sought out justice for children. After leaving headship, heart-driven, Lisa is now making an impact from outside the education system. Lisa wants to give children more than an education. She wants to support them emotionally too, giving them strength, resilience and a voice and set them on the right path from a very early age. KEY TAKEAWAY "Always tune into your own inner child because it makes you relive those beautiful moments but it also helps you to connect and tune into the children of today and what they're experiencing and what life is all about. See life through the eyes of a child." ABOUT LISA BEDLOW Lisa has always loved working with children from her very youngest years as a babysitter, nanny and Early Years Teacher through to being a Deputy Head, Head and Executive Headteacher. She also had five years as a Tutor and lecturer at The Chiltern College. Lisa left headship after 15 years in April 2019 having achieved five Outstanding Ofsted ratings across both of the Nursery School settings. Now she is passionate about children, parent and staff wellbeing using a wide range of skills and techniques that she has learned from her many years teaching and leadership experience and from being a qualified Pranic healing therapist. This is now her full time career taking this forward as a Community Interest Company that will support children, families, staff, schools and home educated children. She provides a wide range of packages that help children with all kinds of needs from sleep issues, grief and trauma and anxiety as well as supporting those with additional needs, especially those on the Autism spectrum.
