Ahmed Hammadi is regisseur en scenarist en medeoprichter van film-, foto- en designcollectief GUAP. In zijn project Dear Summer onderzocht hij de kansen en dromen van jongeren die opgroeien in achterstandswijken. Ahmed groeide zelf op in de wijk Crabbehof (Dordrecht) die, ondanks de schat aan verhalen en karakters, vaak slecht in het nieuws kwam. Het beeld van deze wijken en haar bewoners wil hij veranderen met Dear Summer.Vanuit dit onderzoek maakte hij een teaser voor de webserie die Dear Summer moet worden. De teaser werd opgepikt door NPO 3LAB, waarmee Ahmed de eerste pilotaflevering van de webserie heeft kunnen maken. De pilot is te bekijken via YouTube.👉 Meer weten over zijn werk?
