I remember, I was like, maybe 10 years old, and I had the old tape recorder, black thing, the little buttons on the, you know, and I was recording off the radio, doing the DJ thing.~She's more of a boots. . . cats. . . boots, cats, boots. . . cats. . . boots, cats.~Oh, you're pretty good for a girl. ~The Limelight(NYC) was notorious for some of the crazy shit that went on there.~The problem is that in the clubs, vices are very readily available. So it's super easy. So you just have to be careful.~I didn't know. I just made it because I like the sound, but I wasn't putting a label on it myself. So you know just I'm learning as I go. ~it's important, especially as an older DJ, to understand that the clubbing is really a young person's game. And it sucks to say that, but it's true. Absolutely there is ageism. And there's a reason why fewer and fewer older DJs, that aren't superstar established.~Bottom line is, we love the music.
