18. Stop Trying To Fit In

from YES MUJER BUILD IT · host Wendy Amara

Have you ever felt like you are a square peg trying to fit into a round hole? In this episode, Wendy shares that she has felt this way most of her life. It wasn't until her 30's that she discovered she was never supposed to fit in.Wendy shares the importance of honoring the inner voice that keeps sharing with you an idea, a vision, or a goal. Even if that means you have to do things differently. It's ok to find a new way. Most of us are doing things that have never been done before, or we are creating new pathways to what we define as success. It's ok to not fit in. In fact, Wendy explains , it will be easier for you if you stop trying to fit in. Surrender to the idea that you are supposed to be like everyone else. Start to embrace the fact that you are meant to carve your own path.   Wendy encourages you to embrace and express your true self.  Wendy also emphasizes the importance of speaking your truth.  Write it down, say it, share it as often as you can. This will help you strengthen your unique voice and gain the confidence you need to fully accept yourself. Once you start to accept yourself for the real version of you- others will start to do the same.  In this episode, you'll learn:• The importance of embracing one's unique voice. • Wendy's personal experiences of trying to fit in and the negative impact on her self-esteem. • The significance of accepting oneself and listening to the inner call for a deeper purpose or vision. • How to break free from societal expectations and fully embrace yourSELF.• How embracing your uniqueness can lead to true freedom.Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy
