129: The Most Important Skill for Career and Business Growth in 2026 (Especially With AI)

What if the real skill that will determine your success in 2026 isn’t confidence or discipline… but your ability to learn fast?In this episode, I talk about something essential for building the life, business, and career you want in today’s world: learning agility. The pace of change is faster than ever, and many of us were raised to believe we needed to already know everything before trying something new. But that mindset will keep us stuck.I share why becoming a beginner again is powerful, how to stop feeling behind, and the three mindset shifts that will help you adapt, grow, and stay relevant.I talked about:Why learning agility is the skill that matters most in 2026How AI and technology are changing business and career opportunitiesWhy many women, especially Latinas hold back How shame, perfectionism, and fear block our growthWhy the future belongs to people who learn quickly and adapt oftenHow to become a beginner again without making it mean you’re behind3 Ways to Build Learning AgilityShift your identity around learning - Stop seeing yourself as behind and start seeing yourself as a learner who is growing.Learn by doing, not just consuming - Use the tools, test the strategy, and practice in real life.Build a feedback loop - Try something, review the result, adjust, and try again. Why This Matters Right NowMicrosoft’s 2025 Work Trend Index says organizations need employees to build AI literacy, share what they are learning, and apply those learnings into daily work as human-AI collaboration reshapes roles and priorities. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/worklab/work-trend-indexLinkedIn’s 2025 Workplace Learning Report says learning and career development are key drivers of adaptability because companies need critical skills to move faster as business needs change.https://learning.linkedin.com/resources/workplace-learning-reportIBM’s 2025 CEO Research says 31% of the workforce will need retraining or reskilling over the next three years, and 67% of CEOs say differentiation depends on having the right expertise in the right positions.https://www.ibm.com/thought-leadership/institute-business-value/en-us/c-suite-study/ceoThis episode is a reminder that you are not behind. You are living in a rapidly changing world, and the women who rise in this season will be the ones willing to learn, adapt, and grow in public. Please share with me how this was helpful for you on IG: https://www.instagram.com/wendyamara/Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

128: How to Calm Anxiety When Everything Feels Overwhelming

What if anxiety isn’t something you need to fix… but something you need to learn how to move with?In this episode, I open up about what I’m personally going through right now and how anxiety has been showing up in my life. I talk about why anxiety is a normal part of the human experience and why trying to avoid or get rid of it doesn’t work. Instead, I share how I’ve learned to “dance” with anxiety and use it as a tool to move forward, especially during seasons of uncertainty.I talked about:My personal experience with anxiety during a challenging season in my lifeWhy anxiety is not something to fix, but something to understand and manageHow anxiety is actually energy without directionWhy we tend to numb, avoid, or spiral when anxiety shows upHow anxiety is often a sign that you care deeply about somethingWhy productivity alone won’t solve anxietyThe 4 Steps I Use to Move Through Anxiety:Step 1: Name itCall out what you’re actually feeling. Naming the anxiety helps reduce its intensity and brings awareness to what’s really going on.Step 2: Ground yourselfBring your body back to center through breath, movement, or connection so your nervous system can regulate.Step 3: Get present and take one small stepFocus on what’s right in front of you and take a small, doable action to start moving forward.Step 4: Ask yourself, “What can I control right now?”Shift your focus away from uncertainty and into what you can actually take action on in this moment. This episode is a reminder that anxiety doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It  means you really care about something. And when you learn how to move with it instead of against it, it can actually guide you forwardEven top clinical guidance shows treatment is about reducing symptoms and improving functioning, not permanently removing anxiety from your life.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/anxiety/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20350967Please share with me how this was helpful for you either on Social Media at: https://www.instagram.com/wendyamara/Or through email: [email protected] Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

127: The Science of Transformation: How Your Brain, Nervous System, and Identity Shape Your Results

What if science and transformation actually go hand in hand when it comes to creating results in your life?In this episode, I break down three powerful truths that connect science, psychology, and transformation work so you can understand why this work is not just “mindset” or “spiritual,” but actually rooted in how your brain and body function. As a life and business coach, I talk about why your life and business are deeply interconnected, and how real growth doesn’t just come from strategy. It comes from who you are being.I walk you through how your brain is wired, how your nervous system impacts your ability to execute, and why your identity is the foundation of everything you create.I talked about:Why your life and business are not separate and how they influence each otherThe difference between the horizontal (strategy, actions, results) and the vertical (identity, beliefs, internal state)Why transformation work goes beyond mindset and into identity and embodimentHow entrepreneurs must constantly step into the “new” to grow in businessThe 3 Science-Backed Truths I Shared:1. Your brain is wired to keep you the same - Your brain prefers what is familiar, even if it’s not helping you grow. That’s why change feels uncomfortable. ➡️ Transformation happens through repetition and building new patterns2. Your nervous system determines your results - If your body is in stress or overwhelm, it will block your ability to execute, decide, and move forward. ➡️ Regulation creates clarity, consistency, and capacity3. Your identity drives your results - Your actions will always align with who you believe you are. ➡️ You don’t get what you want, you get who you are beingIf you want to go deeper into the science behind what I shared in this episode, here are a few key areas to explore:Neuroplasticity (how the brain rewires through repetition): https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-brain-plasticityPolyvagal Theory (how your nervous system affects safety, stress, and regulation): https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9131189/Affect Labeling (how naming emotions can reduce emotional intensity): https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/between-cultures/202109/why-it-helps-to-put-your-feelings-into-wordsIdentity & Behavior Change (how identity shapes action and results): https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/automatic-you/202206/the-key-behavior-change-is-identity-changeYou can’t always control what’s happening around you. But you can control your thoughts, your nervous system, your beliefs, and your identity. And that is where real power lives.Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

126: From Street Vendor to Franchise Owner: Susana Cabrera’s Immigrant Success Story

What does it take for a 19-year-old mom to go from selling hot dogs outside a church to owning two thriving franchise locations in Los Angeles? Susana Cabrera is living proof that following your heart and betting on yourself changes everything. In this episode, I sit down with my client Susana Cabrera, an inspiring entrepreneur whose journey started as a street vendor and led her to owning two successful franchises in Los Angeles. Susana shares her powerful immigrant story, growing up watching her mother hustle through different small businesses and learning resilience at a young age. From becoming a young mother and working in fast food to starting her own street vending business, her path has been anything but easy. What makes Susana’s story so powerful is the mindset shift that helped her move from employee to owner and eventually step into the identity of a CEO.We talked about:Susana’s immigrant story and the entrepreneurial lessons she learned from her motherHow she went from working in fast food to starting her own street vending businessThe moment she realized she wanted to create a healthier impact in her communityHow she discovered the opportunity to work with EverytableThe transition from employee to franchise ownerKey Lessons from Susana’s Journey:Your background is not a limitation. The skills you learn from life, family, and survival often become your greatest business strengths. You don’t have to feel ready to take the next step. Growth often happens after you say yes, not before.Don’t undermine your experience. Many immigrants and first-generation entrepreneurs underestimate how capable they already are.Challenge the voice in your head that says you can’t do it. Look for evidence in your life that proves you are already capable.Betting on yourself can change everything. The moment you decide to work just as hard for your own dreams as you do for others, everything shifts.Today, Susana owns two successful Everytable franchise locations and continues to grow as a business owner and leader. Her story is a powerful reminder that where you start does not determine where you can go.Connect with Susana:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/soysusanacabrera/Source: Everytable https://share.google/aEoztGBNSqMYdgae5Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

125: The Tools I Am Currently Using to Continue to Move Forward While Our Immigrant Communities Are Under Attack

This episode is me speaking honestly about what it feels like to live as a woman of color in the United States right now. I’m sharing reflections after our recent retreats and naming the real emotional and nervous system toll that ongoing political attacks on immigrant communities are having on us.I talk about why pretending things are fine is not helping anyone and why naming what’s happening matters. This episode is about how we stay regulated, connected, and supported so we don’t burn out or disconnect while everything feels heavy.I talked about:The emotional weight many women of color are carrying right nowHow political decisions are directly impacting immigrants and small business ownersWhy community and embodiment are not optional if we want to stay resilientWhat I witnessed during the Mastermind and Restore & Reclaim retreatsIn this episode,  I give you five tools I’ve been using and teaching to get through this moment. These are not mindset hacks or bypassing strategies. They’re practical ways to support the body and nervous system so we can keep showing up.The 5 Tools I Shared:Naming that we are under attack and telling the truth about what’s happening instead of bypassing itStating what you’re feeling and allowing yourself to name it honestlyWriting down and sharing what you’re feeling so it doesn’t stay trapped in your body or mindDoubling down on what’s already working and supporting you, without adding more effort or pressureBeing in community with your people, consciously and gently, by choosing spaces that feel aligned, safe, and supportiveThis episode is a reminder that care, connection, and rest are not luxuries. 123: Immigration Stories, Latina Podcasting, and Live Coaching with Heidy De La Cruz

The breakthrough didn’t come from strategy. It came when I asked: What do you actually want, and what belief is stopping you from claiming it?In this episode, I sit down with Heidy De La Cruz, host of The American Dream in the Eyes of Immigrants, for an honest conversation about immigrant identity, using our voices in this current climate, and what it means to build platforms that truly serve our communities. We talk about the power of podcasting as a leadership tool for Latinas and why telling our stories is both personal and political in this season.Coaching Session with HeidyDuring our conversation, I coach Heidy live as she steps into the next phase of her work. We focus on clarifying her vision for her new podcast, strengthening her relationship with visibility and monetization, and identifying the fear that has been quietly holding her back. Together, we shift from strategy alone into belief, embodiment, and aligned action, mapping out practical next steps she can take with confidence.Me and Heidy talked about:Why sharing immigrant stories matters now more than everWhat it means to redefine the American Dream as immigrants and first-gen womenHow podcasting can be a platform for Latina leadership, visibility, and impactThe mindset shifts that unlock consistency and monetization as a creatorTips + Takeaways:Get clear on your real “why” before building your podcast or brandBuild consistency in a way that fits your real life, not someone else’s formulaUse SEO and keywords so your episodes can actually be foundMonetization starts with self-worth and the belief that your work is valuableIdentify the fear that’s keeping you stuck, and take one aligned action anywayGive yourself deadlines and accountability so your ideas turn into resultsIf you’ve been feeling the pull to share your story, start your podcast, or build something bigger this year, let this be your reminder that your voice matters. 122: How to Turn Your Vision Board Into Reality in 2026

What if the reason your vision board hasn’t worked isn’t a lack of action, but a lack of embodiment? In this episode, I talk about why vision boards don’t work the way most people use them and what actually makes them powerful. As we move deeper into the energy of 2026, this conversation is about shifting from surface-level visualization into real embodiment so your goals stop living on a board and start showing up in your life.I talked about:Why I don’t fully trust traditional vision boards and where people usually get stuck with themThe difference between the horizontal world of doing and strategy and the vertical world of being, identity, and embodimentThe two main types of vision boards and why feeling-based vision boards are more effective than object-based onesHow to identify the real feeling behind what you want, like freedom, confidence, safety, purpose, or joyA step-by-step embodiment practice to activate your vision, includingNaming the feeling you actually want behind the goalFinding where that feeling already exists in your life right nowVisualizing yourself fully immersed in that feelingBringing gratitude into your body instead of just thinking positive thoughtsWhy gratitude and embodiment are what shift your energy and create alignmentHow to recognize and document moments when the feeling starts showing up more in your daily lifeWhy fewer visions create more results and how to focus on one area at a time for 2026How being aligned with the feeling changes the actions you take and the opportunities you noticeI also share why this inner work is what allows the outer strategy to actually work and how embodiment supports manifestation in a grounded, sustainable way.Films mentioned in this episode:The Secret (2006): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0846789/The Answer (with Reverend Michael Beckwith): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2612010/Free Webinar: Rooted FirstI’m hosting a free live webinar called Rooted First, where I’ll help you create your Success Blueprint for 2026 and apply this work in a deeper, more intentional way.Register here:https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/uQrVIKqqQTufcG33VyWo4A#/registrationConnect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

121: How to Prepare for 2026 Using the Chinese and Mayan Calendars

Preparing for 2026 starts with understanding how different calendars view time, energy, and action. In this episode, I explore what the Chinese calendar and the Mayan calendar reveal about 2026, where these two systems align, and where they offer very different guidance. Rather than treating calendars as tools for prediction, I talk about how they can be used as frameworks for awareness, decision-making, and intentional goal activation.I break down what each calendar teaches about cycles, momentum, and timing, and why understanding these perspectives matters if you want to move into 2026 with clarity instead of confusion. This conversation is about learning how to work with energy and seasons, not forcing progress through pressure.I also share concrete steps and reflective questions you can use right now to activate your goals for this year and prepare for what 2026 is asking of you.I talked about:What the Chinese calendar says about the energy we are moving into in 2026, and how that contrasts with the Mayan calendar’s view of cycles and timingThe similarities between the Chinese and Mayan calendars, especially around momentum, leadership, and movement, and why both point to preparation rather than rushingThe key differences between the two calendars and how each one frames action, rest, and responsibility in 2026Why understanding these calendars matters if you want to stop setting goals that don’t stickI also walked listeners through specific steps and reflection questions to activate their goals this year, including:Deciding how many goals you actually need to focus on instead of overloading yourselfIdentifying where your current goals are coming from, whether they are driven by alignment or pressureLooking at how you move your body, your energy, and your time, and whether that movement supports the year aheadNoticing patterns from past years that you are being asked to complete or close out before 2026Clarifying what kind of capacity, courage, and structure you need to build now to meet what 2026 will requireThis episode is about using calendar wisdom as a practical tool so you can make cleaner decisions, activate your goals intentionally, and enter 2026 prepared rather than reactive.Free Webinar: Rooted FirstWendy invites listeners to join her free live webinar Rooted First, where she will guide participants in grounding their energy, clarifying priorities, and creating a personal success blueprint for the year ahead.Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/uQrVIKqqQTufcG33VyWo4A#/registration----Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

119: Seven Tools You Can Use Today to Connect More Powerfully to Your Intuition

Have you ever felt like your intuition is quiet or hard to reach even though you know it is always guiding you? Your intuitive brain never stops speaking to you. Sometimes life just gets loud enough that you forget how to listen. In this episode, I walk you through the seven tools I personally use to strengthen my intuition and deepen my connection to my intuitive brain. After learning how powerful the three brains are, today I focus on how you can tap into your gut brain in a way that supports your highest alignment. If you have ever wished your intuition spoke louder, clearer, and more consistently, this episode gives you the exact tools to make that happen. I guide you deeper into the intuitive brain and why your gut brain is often the most accurate of your three brains. I share how the intuitive brain communicates, why the cognitive brain gets loud and confusing, and how your emotional brain supports clarity when you slow down enough to listen. On this episode, I share:Revisiting the Three Brains and why intuition lives in the bodySeven Tools to strengthen your intuitive brainTool 1. Embrace Silence and create space for intuitive clarityTool 2. Observe Your Body and notice the somatic cues that guide youTool 3. Ask Clear Questions that your intuition can respond toTool 4. Follow Life’s Hints and pay attention to synchronicitiesTool 5. Spend Time in Nature to regulate your nervous systemTool 6. Stop Asking Others and learn to ask yourself firstTool 7. 118: The Three Brains You Need to Create the Life You Want

In this episode, Wendy brings you back into the heart of transformational work as she shares one of the most powerful frameworks she uses in her coaching practice: the 3  brains. Most people only use one. But the real magic begins when you understand and align all three. You’ll hear Wendy talk about the cognitive brain that analyzes and plans, the heart brain that feels and opens, and the intuitive brain that guides you with ancient wisdom. She breaks down how each one works, why they all matter, and how learning to listen to all of them can shift the way you make decisions, create results, and live your life.Wendy also shares personal stories about her own evolution, what she has learned working with her coach, and why building a stronger relationship with her intuition brought her more freedom, clarity, and alignment than she ever expected.By the end of this episode, you’ll walk away with simple but powerful growth work you can start practicing today so you can build a deeper connection with your mind, your heart, and your intuition.✨ In this episode, you’ll learn:Why we actually have 3 different “brains”How society conditioned us to rely mostly on the cognitive brainWhy the heart brain and gut brain hold untapped wisdomWhat intuition really feels like in the bodyThe reason your cognitive brain lies to you but your gut never doesHow to check in with all three brains before making decisionsWhat freedom feels like when you trust yourself fully✨ Growth Work for the Week: The next time you make any decision, pause and ask all three brains:What does my cognitive brain think? What does my heart feel? What is my gut telling me?Start building a relationship with each part of you, one choice at a time.Sharing these studies that help bridge the gap between quantum science and the spiritual wisdom we've always known.HeartMath Institute – Science of the Heart - https://www.heartmath.com/science/Quantum Models of Consciousness from a Quantum Information Science Perspective - https://www.mdpi.com/1099-4300/27/3/243Microbiota–Gut–Brain Axis and Its Therapeutic Applications (Nature, 2024) - https://www.nature.com/articles/s41392-024-01743-1Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

It’s an energy,  one that invites you to align, embody, and create your next chapter with intention. In this episode,  I dive deep into the connection between the energy of 11/11, the quantum field, and the power of embodiment. I also share three major breakthroughs that came out of our most recent FUTURE SELF EXPERIENCE, the transformative in-person workshop where women come together to reconnect with their bodies, release what’s been holding them back, and remember the version of themselves they’re becoming. This episode is a reminder that creating your dream life isn’t about vision boards or affirmations alone; it’s about feeling the energy of what you want in your body and allowing yourself to experience it now.I talked about: • The energy of the 11:11 portal and how to work with it intentionally • What the quantum field has to do with creating your dream life • Three powerful breakthroughs from the FUTURE SELF EXPERIENCE • Why embodiment is the missing piece in most manifestation practices • The three reflection questions that shift everything✨ Ask yourself:What is a goal I want to reach? What’s the feeling I want to feel behind that goal? How can I start to feel that right now? When you connect with your desires through feeling and alignment, you step into the frequency of your future self, and that’s when things begin to move.✨ The next FUTURE SELF EXPERIENCE is coming soon.If this message speaks to you, consider this your sign to be in the room. 88. Simple Ways to Regulate Your Nervous System During Challenging Times

Our hearts are in LA. If you have been following the news, you may have seen that wildfires impacted various parts of LA County in California. In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I provide three tools to help you regulate your nervous system during challenging times such as these. As we witness the community, organizations, and small businesses collectively coming together to provide resources and assistance to those in need, I want to remind you that taking care of your mental health is just as important too. Whether you were directly affected by this event or not, we all can feel the ripple effect when tragedy strikes. These three simple tools are helpful whenever you feel dysregulated, stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your centered self. The first thing that you can do to regulate your nervous system is to take something off your To-Do list. Not everything is a priority, and it is okay to give yourself grace, compassion, and permission to not be at 100% capacity. Prioritize what absolutely has to get done, and your mental health. Step two in regulating your nervous system is to go back to your breath. Breathing exercises like box breathing can help bring you to calmness in a simple way. It can also be helpful to physically place your hands over your heart and think about someone or something that provides you with unconditional love. This exercise helps open up the feelings of being safe, secure, and deeply loved. The final tool I share is to practice tea meditation. Teas like lavender, ginseng, and osha root have calming benefits that regulate your nervous system and boost your immunity. Combining tea with mindfulness while drinking will help you release stress and tension. The next thing I share was a life changer for me: Lower your expectations of yourself during these challenging times. It's okay to need help, not to be functioning at your normal capacity, and to require less of yourself. Simple self-care tools and community will help you navigate stressful events collectively. In this episode, you’ll learn: How collective trauma affects everyone, even those not directly impacted. Why managing your nervous system is crucial during stressful events. How breathing techniques like box breathing can help regulate emotions. Why the feeling of love is a high vibration that significantly impacts mental well-being.Why prioritizing your mental health is essential, above all, to keep functioning. Why doing self-care practices like drinking tea can make a big difference to aid recovery.Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

    87. Lessons Learned From 2024

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I deep dive into three major lessons I learned in 2024.  Most of my lessons came from failures that happened in 2024. And I choose to look at those failures as GIFTS. They are also gifts for you- because they will help you build from ease and flow.   The first lesson I experienced was that what worked for me in the previous years was no longer producing the same results. This led to my biggest lesson in 2024. 2024 was the year when I discovered that I could build 100% from Source Energy vs. Hustle Energy. This is where I disconnected from all the “doing” work and deeply connected to my vision. The second lesson is learning how I can create more breakthrough opportunities for my clients to accelerate in achieving their goals. And finally, my third lesson from 2024 is to no longer compare myself to other podcasters. I am a coach first, not just a podcaster.I love coaching women, helping them achieve their goals and transform their lives, and I want to teach you to do the same. I know these lessons will support you in building a successful 2025. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why connecting to SOURCE ENERGY will save you from overwhelm.  How to let go of the belief that doing more will equal more results. How to ask yourself,  “Who am I BEING today?” and how it can shift your entire day.Why I am no longer allowing my clients to sit on the sidelines of achieving their goals. Why I stopped playing the compare and despair game in terms of my podcast. How I plan on implementing these lessons in 2025Join the 2025 Quantum Leap ChallengeKrista Petty's WebsiteIf you want to receive a copy of the TIME IS NOW MASTERCLASS for the Success Blueprint, please email us at [email protected] with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

    86. The Question to Ask Yourself for 2025

Want to know how to guarantee you reach your GOALS for 2025? Ask yourself the right question. In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I talk about a powerful question you need to ask yourself for 2025.“What can I let go of DOING so I can focus more on BEING the person who reaches the Goal?"Inspiration comes when you release the things you need to be doing to make room to focus on who you get to BE. When you spend more time connected to your Beingness- inspiration will open you up, you'll get new ideas, and the doing will become easier. And the connection to who you are Being means awareness around your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, intentions, and your vibration. All of which - you control! In this episode, you’ll learn: How to know if you are asking yourself the right questionsWhy true transformation requires a shift in BEING, not just doing. What are 5-ways of Being, and why love is the highest frequency to vibe at.Why strategy won't matter, if you aren’t aligned with your goal. Why releasing old beliefs is essential for growth Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

    85. What I Learned from Being STILL, and Why You Need SILENCE in Your Life

Over the weekend, I attended a three-day silent retreat. No phones, no laptops, no talking, no interaction.  And did you know what happened to me during this time? Through the Silence, I heard my true voice. It felt so good to let go of all the outside noise.  Through being STILL, I discovered calm, beauty, and self-love.   In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I discuss the value of stillness and being silent. We spend so much time in the DOING of our work, careers, family, and personal goals that we often forget (or don’t know how) to be still and just BE. When you are still, you can actually connect with ‘Source’ energy. Source energy can go by many names, but ultimately, it is the energy you can tap into at any given moment because it is always with you. You just have to be still to find it.  If being still is hard to do, then consider moments of awareness where you are mindful during the activity you are doing. During my time at the Silent Retreat, I had many awakenings. Most of them came from the mindfulness that opened up when I was still, like mindfulness around eating and food. I also noticed nature more and felt moments of extreme connection to everything around me. This Source energy is available to you also. Take a deep breath and connect with it. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why we need stillness every day Why balancing stillness and activity is crucial for overall well-beingHow connecting with Source energy can bring us clarityHow you can  practice mindfulness in different ways, like when you are having your morning coffeeHow doing less and being more leads to peace How stillness can help us connect to who we really areConnect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

    84. Coaching and Therapy Distinctions with Cynthia Flores

Have you ever wondered what is the difference between therapy and coaching?  Or the Difference between change and transformation?Well, tune in because we may have some answers for you.In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I collaborate with Licensed Therapist, speaker, and the Heal and Manifest podcast host Cynthia Flores, where we discuss similar themes around transformational work, mindset, and what taking action looks like in the therapy and coaching realms. While therapy and coaching are two separate areas of self-discovery work, both are beneficial when working in tandem, especially in the Latino community. Cynthia describes the origin of how she became a therapist based on her own experience with intergenerational trauma and how she benefited from transformation healing through vulnerability and finding her voice. We also explore how therapy and coaching address deep-rooted limiting beliefs and false narratives that keep us from living the lives we truly want. Therapy helps identify the origins of the limiting beliefs, while coaching can focus more on actionable steps to shift mindset and behavior.   Cynthia and I discuss the power of reframing limiting beliefs, the need for accountability for our actions, and the crucial role of finding the right community in self-discovery and personal growth. In this episode, you’ll learn: What is the distinction between change work and transformation work. Why transformational work requires a whole new perspective. Why it is important to break generational cycles of silence by finding your voice. How to understand and reframe limiting beliefs. Why finding a community you resonate with plays a vital role in healing and growth. How holistic approaches in therapy and coaching can address cultural trauma. Why more and more therapists are getting into coaching.Cynthia's WebsiteCynthia's LinkedIn Connect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy

Did you know with less than four weeks left in the year, your brain is going to try to sabotage you? Your brain will work overtime in December to convince you that you have accomplished nothing or have not done enough in 2024. 82. How to Achieve Faster Success: EVALUATE and PIVOT

Do you know the difference between goal setting and goal achieving? When people come to me for coaching on hitting their goals, they usually think that all they need is a plan, a strategy, and the action steps listed. But we often don’t discuss two essential areas of goal-achieving: Evaluation and Pivoting. In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I discuss the often-overlooked realistic aspects of goal achievement. We tend to spend too much time on the goal-setting phase of our business. However, implementing that plan is more critical. That means taking real action on the goal. After "getting in the water," the next step is evaluating your progress. Collecting data is vital to understanding what works for your business and what does not work. This information is vital to your business and career success. The quicker you can evaluate, the quicker you can pivot. The quicker you can pivot, the quicker you will achieve your goal. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why goal achievement is more than just setting goals. Why implementation is crucial to you hitting your goalsUnderstanding how evaluation helps you know what works and what doesn't for your business. How to gather data and what to do with it.Why pivoting and making quick decisions helps you move your business forward faster. An invitation to the upcoming The Time is NOW Masterclass.Register for the FREE The Time is NOW MasterclassConnect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy
