Gedwongen te stoppen, ontdekte hij simracing.In 2017 won hij World's Fastest Gamer en kreeg daarmee een jaarcontract bij McLaren. Dit leidde o.a. weer tot een deelname aan de Race of Champions in Saudi-Arabië. En het rijden in een historische Formule 1-auto tijdens het Goodwood Festival of Speed.Sinds 2020 werkt hij als simulator-testcoureur voor een topteam in de Formule 1 en is hij TV-analist bij Viaplay. Rudy deelt openhartig over de enorme financiële druk in de racesport. Hij bespreekt het cruciale belang van netwerken en sponsoring, en hoe simracing een alternatieve route biedt naar de top van de motorsport. Daarnaast geeft hij een kijkje in zijn dagelijkse werk in de F1-simulator, zijn eigen coaching-business en zijn toekomstplannen, waaronder een mogelijke Dakar-deelname voor zijn 35e.
