Musicologist at Northwestern University Ryan Dohoney is a historian of U.S. and European modernism and experimentalism. He is associate professor of musicology in the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University where he is also core faculty in Comparative Literary Studies and Critical Theory. He has writes on interdisciplinary modernism and religion as well as Black queer asceticism (focused on Julius Eastman).
