195 | Living, Working and Leading From Your Soul, Your True Self, with Cristie Cerniglia

from Thriving in Christ | Professional Women, High Level Habits, Resilience, Burnout, Stress, Grief · host Dr. Ioana Popa | Psychiatrist Educator, Executive Coach, Speaker & Spiritual Care Formation

As Christian Women, our lives are blessed with many different relationships: with our spouse, children, friends, family members and co-workers. And as we continue to grow and become better human beings, it is natural to want others to change as well - for them to be more compassionate and loving. Nonetheless, we can become so easily magnetized by what others are doing, and if they do not change (or not change fast enough), we can become critical and discontent. The reality is that we cannot truly control others and make them change. I have been in the professional field of helping others change for decades - and it is difficult for someone to change when they want to, never mind when they do not. Cristie Cerniglia discovered this reality in her own marriage, but made the decision to change who she had control over: herself. Cristie, to use her own words, is a ridiculously happy wife after 30 years of marriage. She is a mom of 4 and passionate about helping women rewind their relationships back to the fun and romance of dating (with or without their husband's efforts)! In this Thriving In Christ episode, Cristie and I talk about: ✨ Her 'late blooming' journey to Christianity. ✨ The importance of trusting your God-created, unique personality and the inspiration to put it to good use. ✨ How to never assume others know about Christ. ✨ The power of mentoring and being mentored by other Christian women. One of Cristie’s favorite Bible verses is: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
