#199 Tyler Clary, Olympic Champ, opens up about heart surgery

from Inside with Brett Hawke · host Brett Hawke

At the 2012 London Olympics, Tyler Clary won the 200 Backstroke.    Nine years later, he underwent successful open heart surgery to fix a leaky aortic valve. For every pint of blood his heart tried to pump, ½ a pint flowed backwards.   He won Olympic gold with a heart operating at only 70% efficiency.    Unbelievable.   Enjoy!
