Dr. Sunil Joshi, Chief Jacksonville Health Officer says Jacksonville has a measles 'outbreak,' with the highest number of currently active cases in Florida. While the actual number of confirmed local cases (5) is low, the highly infectious and communicable nature of measles presents a significant risk -- particularly to those most at risk, including children, immuno-compromised persons, health care workers, and those not already vaccinated.
