In this Episode, we talk with 2 time Landmark Conference Champion Coach Matt Donohue. Coach Donohue provides a wealth of knowledge of the game of basketball, and an enthusiasm for coaching and the game that is contagious.  We talk about using KEY WORDS to ground you during the heat of competition, strategies to implement right now in order to make your team problem solve and be mentally tough, developing an environment and culture where your whole team feels comfortable, the hurdles and challenges in coaching at the DIII Level, how to ride the waves of a season and anticipate challenges that come up, and "Slowing Down" especially as a young coach. Coach Donohue's favorite quote is a poem from John Wooden's book "My Personal Best", and goes  "Not as good as I want to be, nor as good as I ought to be, but hopefully better than I used to be".  Coach Donohue's final thought on the podcast and advice to coaches is, "Do what you love doing in a place you love doing it."
