Ve svých 45 letech uběhl svůj první maraton a o pouhé  tři roky později doběhl legendární americký stomílový závod Western  States. Někdo by si mohl říct, že by to i stačilo, ale on pokračoval na  100 Miles of Istria, UTMB a teď se připravuje na Bad Water a  Spartathlon.
