2 steps to train your child to use calming strategies more effectively and independently!

from Chaos to Connected - Helping Parents Navigate Challenging Behavior with Connection; Christian moms, behavior management, positive parenting, discipline, tantrums, aggression, biblical parenting · host Kaili Zeiher

Have you been taught or told that when your child has behavior (really any type of behavior) to implement calming strategies?   Today, I share why this actually isn't the most effective and efficient route AND what is.   While calming strategies are important...hello, we obviously all need to learn to use them so we aren't just having adult temper tantrums everywhere...there is a way you can teach your child what they are and how to use them without actually having to sit down and walk them through it.   Today, I dive into the 2 main steps to help your child make the connection on their own and begin to implement them when needed. BONUS: this isn't just for older kids. My 3 year old did this exact thing today and guess what?!   I have NEVER sat down and showed him pictures of calming strategies or specifically and intentionally created time to teach him them or created a calming space that I instructed him on using.   Tune in to find out how!   Connect with me here: https://www.instagram.com/kailijozeiher/ or if you'd prefer email at [email protected].   Want more info on your own customized Behavior Blueprint?
