#20 Saying Goodbye To Your Athletic Career In A Healthy Way feat. Lauren Ammon

from The Giant Fundamentals: Men's Mental Health & Wellness · host Jonathan Gustave- Licensed Mental Health Therapist

In this episode Jono had the privilege of sitting down with Lauren Ammon who has 17 years of swimming experience. Lauren is the CEO of Performance Reimagined where she specializes in working with student-athletes to master the mental part of the game. Her company exists to show athletes there is an outlet to be heard, seen, and supported mentally and emotionally at the same level they are physically. She talks about the challenge of seeing herself nothing but an athletic swimming competitor to having to navigate through her young adulthood to find who she truly is in the world. Lastly, one thing that Lauren strongly believes is student-athletes already have everything they need to succeed at whatever they want, it's simply a matter of removing the mental clutter that blocks them from seeing their full potential. It’s a matter of training their minds like they train their bodies. Connect with Lauren LinkedIn @LaurenAmmon Instagram @MrsLaurenAmmon
