When I see supermarkets and other stores, I sometimes think that Japan is a busy country. In January we have New Year's holidays, in February we have Setsubun, in March we have hina matsuri (Dolls' Festival), etc. Every month definitely has some event, so the products featured in the stores really change often. It is a little bit busy, but I would like to enjoy it while appreciating the fact that we have four seasons.【Today’s words】店頭(てんとう)/ ① in the front of a store, a part of a store that is closest to the outside ( I used 店頭 in this post meaning ①)②in store特集する(とくしゅうする)/ to feature せわしない/ hectic, busy ※いそがしい or せわしない?They are almost the same meanings and mostly interchangeable. But while いそがしい just means you have a lot of things to do, せわしない emphasize chaos and stress. For example, let’s say you overslept. You need to hurry but you spilled your coffee on your shirt, overcooked eggs, your child is keep crying, and your hair dryer is not working well.We would say this situation is せわしない, like “今朝(けさ)はせわしなかった / This morning was hectic.“ In this case, いそがしい is also okay but せわしない is the best word to describe it.四季(しき)/ four seasons★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
