2023.09.23_New Dance Form

My experience with dancing bachata has shown me how the technical aspects of close body Bachata can be applied to any music genre. I explain the importance of connection and musical playfulness in this new dance form I am creating. I also mention the roles of leader and follower in partner dancing, emphasising the need for coordination and interpretation within their respective roles. I contemplate giving this new dance form a name that distinguishes it from traditional bachata. Finally, I highlight how this dance form draws inspiration from urban styles while incorporating partner dancing elements. Overall, it is a technical yet versatile form of dirty dancing that can be danced to any music genre.
