205 Moms Always Eat Last

from Unveiling the Beast Hosted by Kaitie Entrikin

What’s up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I welcome back my good friend Alysia Lyons, the Guilt Coach, for a conversation about something I know WAY too well: putting myself last. Alysia recently introduced me to her new project, Moms Always Eat Last, and dude, I felt that in my soul. Between being a mom, wife, caregiver, and business owner, I've gotten so used to taking care of everyone else that sometimes I forget I'm supposed to be on that list, too. We talk about the guilt that comes with prioritizing ourselves, the beliefs we've carried since childhood, and why self-care doesn't have to be another exhausting thing on our to-do lists. We also get into burnout, figuring out what actually gives us energy, and a few simple changes that can make a real difference. Including one ridiculously obvious suggestion about making my own dinner plate FIRST that somehow never occurred to me. Because sometimes it's not about doing more for ourselves. It's about realizing we deserve a place on our own damn list. As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Alysia Alysia Lyons is a mom first, a life coach and author second.
