21. Don't Break Your Toys (Part 1)

from Lez Roll Radio · host Kelly Schoenegge and Andrea Schoenegge

Jiu Jitsu is a combat sport. Injuries happen. But there is still a certain standard of care that we need to consider in order to keep our training partners safe. We talk about the core principles of judo: 1) "maximum effort, minimum exertion" and 2) "mutual benefit and welfare" and how we, as BJJ practitioners, should strive for the same. TW: There is a brief, high level mention of sexual assault/violence as reasons why people may chose to train. Mark your calendars for April 14th-16th 2023 as we host the first Lez Roll Queer Grappling Camp in the Indianapolis area. All members of the LBGTQ+ community are welcome to attend.  You can find more information (including registration) on our website: www.lezrollradio.com.  You can find the podcast on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter @lezrollradio.
