21 - "Embrace the Why" Dr. Jason Wright - Physical Therapist and Fitness Coach
from Every Coach Needs A Coach · host Coach Kelli
Dr. Jason Wright is the owner and operator of Wright Fit Physio and high-level fitness coach who uses his own personal experiences and those of his clients to elevate their training and overcome the physical, emotional, and psychological obstacles that often stand in between us and our goals. Dr. Jason opens up about his personal struggles, changes in career path, and his competitive spirit. We discussed the idea of 'not being good enough', and communicating with our clients and athletes in a way that they can relate to, and asking the right questions in order for them to feel comfortable opening up to you and actually telling you what's wrong.. Jason reminisced a baseball coach he had as a young athlete who always drove a competitive spirit in him, and communicated with him in a way that Jason knew he cared about his athletes as people, and how this made him feel as he continues to reflect fondly on his own athletic experience. Jason truly opened up and offers some wonderful insight into being vulnerable, and improving your communication. He recommends the book 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie as a resource to better understand and interact with people. He can be found on his personal facebook page , his Instagram (@WrightFitPhysio), or email him at [email protected].
