21. From city girl to llamas and off-grid farm living with Josee Gautreau

Josee owner of Llamazing Adventures, a llama trekking farm is a former city girl turned off-grid farm enthusiast. Her career path included dog grooming, horseback riding lessons, medical esthetics and now managing a llama trekking farm, she's truly embraced a diverse range of experiences. This adventurous spirit thrives on pushing herself outside her comfort zone, always seeking new opportunities for learning and growth, both in terms of personal development and lifestyle choices. A lover of hiking, traveling, and all things animals, she starts her days bright and early as a morning person. She has learned so much in the last few years during some of the biggest challenges in her life when her llama business exploded and had to keep up with 7 days work weeks running the business and farm. Josee talks about hitting burnout state and how she conquered the many challenges of building an off grid farm and cottage, living there without running water etc for over a year. With now 20 animals under her care, including camels, llamas, alpacas, horses, and emus, she embodies a minimalist approach while striving for self-sufficiency.
