#21 Gender Stereotyping: Have We Gone Too Far?

from The PUNC Living Journal · host Jerry Sadler

Two adverts were banned from UK TV channels by the Advertising Standards Authority because, according to them, they break the Gender Stereotyping rules. One advert was for Philadelphia cheese and the other for VW's electric car. The question explored in this episode is whether we've gone too far with Gender Stereotyping, as in being overly sensitive as, in the eyes of many, the adverts in question are not overstepping Gender Stereotyping boundaries.
