Security is tight outside Parliament as hundreds of students protest there ahead of Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene's Medium Term Budget Policy Statement. **Hundreds of Stellenbosch University students in the Boland area of Western Cape are gathering at the amphitheatre on campus ahead of a march to the administration building. **In another development, members of the SAPS's Public Order Unit have been deployed at campuses across the country to deal with the various students' protests. **A German delegation from the state of Lower Saxony is currently in Gauteng to explore trade and investment opportunities in the areas of green economy, education and technology transfer. **The SABC says it has cash reserves to the tune of one billion rand, as evidence of the corporation's financial stability.
