21. Romans 1:28-32 Pastor Phil Ballmaier Calvary Chapel Elk Grove 6-28-23 Tonight Pastor Phil puts the spotlight on Romans Chapter 1, verses 28-32. Sadly men look to themselves, the stars, evolution and other humanistic or atheistic ways to explain why they are here—unfortunately their search is devoid of God. This leads to living a life in the flesh and looking to serve self and only its' pleasures and it plays out in ones' life in many different ways. But in the light of God's Word, lives can be changed and turned around forever! The devil is the enemy of man's souls and will use debase sins to entice the flesh, which lead to acts that separate man from God—whether they want to see it or not. May God give us the grace to love on those who struggle with these things, and bring them into the Kingdom to set them free. Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world. Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God.
