120. Romans 15:14-16:27 (4-15-26) | Final
120. Romans 15:14-16:27 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 4-15-26 Tonight Pastor Phil concludes his study in the Book of Romans. Much of Romans consisted of the Apostle Paul laying down the foundation of our faith. He shares his thoughts on Christian conduct and unity. He also dealt with disunity, divisions and schisms with believers. Much of his time was spent refuting the false teachings of the Judaizers who were continually trying to place the new believers from the Law of freedom and grace found in Jesus, back under the Laws of Moses. *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. Firstly, because God had sent him, but because Rome was a central 'point of the world' as 'all roads lead to Rome'. So if he shared the Gospel there, whomever received it would carry God's Word, and the testimonies of Paul and the work they'd seen done out into the four corners of the world. Often referred to as the Gospel according to Paul, and the greatest book ever written, Paul's letter to the Romans will become our focus as Pastor Phil continues to lead us through the Word of God. Calvary Chapel Elk Grove is a non-denominational fellowship located in Roselle, a northwest suburb of Chicago in Illinois. 119. Romans 15:14-16 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 4-8-26 Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans Chapter 15, as the Apostle Paul continues his previous thoughts on Christian conduct and unity. Paul was continually dealing with disunity, divisions and schisms with believers. He touches on what some call the "grey areas", or matters of moral neutrality. Things that God has left up to the individual believer's conscience. Paul instructs us to bear one another's burdens. 117. Romans 14:14-23 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 3-18-26 Tonight Pastor Phil finishes Romans Chapter 14, and the Apostle Paul's teaching on Christian conduct and unity. 112. Romans 13:11-14 (Part 2) (1-21-26) | Final
112. Romans 13.11-14 (Part 2) | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 1-21-26 Tonight Pastor Phil finishes up Romans Chapter 13. We've seen in Chapter 12 of Romans the outline and practical application of lives as Christians. The Apostle Paul now lays out how we are to conduct ourselves with the world, and those in authority over us as a witness to those around us. He encourages us to "put on Christ", or in other words, walk in the ways of Christ so that when others look at us—they see Jesus in us... And as we put on Christ, we are a light shining in the darkness. Pastor Phil encourages us here in Romans 13:11-14 to: Wise Up, Wake Up, Look up, Dress Up, Clean Up and Grow Up!! Father open our eyes to things in our lives that are contrary to this, by Your will.. 111. Romans 13.11-14 (Part 1) | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 1-14-26 Tonight Pastor Phil finishes up Romans Chapter 13. *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. 102. Romans 12:2 (9-24-25)
102. Romans 12:2 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 9-24-25 Tonight Pastor Phil begins in Romans 12. In Chapters 1-11 we covered the doctrinal position of Paul's Epistle to the Romans. Chapter 12 begins the practical application to our lives. In tonight's study Pastor Phil focuses on spiritual warfare and how the world continually tries to influence non-believers and believers alike. And we must be continually on guard, fighting these battles with the truths of God's Word alone. He also touches on the Gifts of The Spirit and how believers should be using these gifts for Him, and the Body of Christ. 99. Romans 11:25-36 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 8-13-25 Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans 11. In this section of Romans, he points out that Paul was showing Israel's future restoration to God. The Lord revealed Himself first to the Jews, then to the Gentiles. In this portion of scripture Paul reminds us that we (Gentiles) are grafted into the vine, by His grace. An incredible revival is coming to the Jewish people—and it will be unprecedented! In Romans Chapters 9-11 we see Paul addressing the question of Israel's Past, Present and Future... Throughout history, the enemy of our souls (the devil) has been trying to corrupt and destroy Israel since God Himself promised His people that they were His... The Apostle Paul reminds us in the most precious and definitive words to anyone who might question that— "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:31-37 Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 4-30-25 Tonight Pastor Phil finishes this section of Romans Chapter 8—one of the most comforting chapters in the Bible—in fact it is God’s prescription for troubled hearts. Tonight Pastor Phil touches on God's everlasting love. God promises that nothing - no-thing can separate us from His love... Peace comes with our assurance in the permanence of the salvation He's given us through Jesus Christ, our Lord. The Apostle Paul spent most of his life and ministry dispelling the lies of the Judaizers who continually tried to cause the Jews and Gentiles to replace the law of grace and security of salvation with works. 84. Romans 8:29-30 (Part 5) (4-23-25)
84. Romans 8:29-30 (Part 5) Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 4-23-25 Tonight Pastor Phil finishes this section of Romans Chapter 8—one of the most comforting chapters in the Bible—in fact it is God’s prescription for troubled hearts. Tonight Pastor Phil touches on The Process of Salvation and the Permanence of Salvation. Answering God's call for our lives. Sanctification and the work of The Holy Spirit happens over a believer's lifetime. It is a journey... The Apostle Paul spent most of his life and ministry dispelling the lies of the Judaizers who continually tried to cause the Jews and Gentiles to replace the law of grace and security of salvation with works. "We know we're saved by grace—but... here's what you have to do to keep it." *** Paul chose Rome for a reason when he went out to preach. 76. Romans 8:17 (1-22-25)
76. Romans 8:17 | Final Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Pastor Phil Ballmaier 1-22-25 Tonight Pastor Phil continues in Romans, Chapter 8. Paul reminds of the promise that we are children of God, and joint heirs, because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. As His heirs we share in His blessings, and likely share in His sufferings as His children. In Romans 6 through Romans 8 we learn that because of the finished work on the Cross—sin no longer has ahold of us. That we are dead TO sin because of the finished work of Jesus, whereas before we were saved we were dead IN sin. Chapter 8 is one of the most important chapters in the Bible. In Romans Chapters 7 & 8, Paul continues to bring home the point of what the sanctification process is in a believer. In tonight's verses we see his reflection on his own heart and examines it in comparison to Jesus. That Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death. Romans Chapter 8 is one of the most comforting chapters in the Bible—in fact it is God’s prescription for troubled hearts. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1 — Brothers & Sisters: Memorize this verse to use against the enemy of your soul!
