#21 Sheryl Green - ''Bubble Baths Won't Save You: Boundaries as Self-Care' (Emotional Pillar)

from The Widening Your Aperture Podcast · host Kristen Henry + Guests

“Yes. Of course. I’d be happy to. It’s no problem at all.”Sheryl Green has taken “people-pleasing” to Olympic levels. For decades, she put everyone else’s needs above her own… until she hit a metaphorical brick wall. After committing to one-too-many responsibilities, Sheryl discovered the importance of boundaries… okay, she actually discovered that boundaries were even “a thing.” Now, she works with individuals and organizations to establish healthy boundaries to improve relationships,  communication, and well-being.“Goth” as a teenager, Sheryl dreamed of being an FBI Profiler and hunting down serial killers. She earned a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology but decided against spending her days in the minds of criminals. Instead, she has worked in Mental Health, Customer Service, Public Relations, Education, and the Non-Profit world. This brings a unique blend of experience and insight to her audiences.Sheryl is the author of six books (of her own), including her latest, “You Had Me at ‘No’: How Setting Healthy Boundaries Helps Banish Burnout, Repair Relationships, and Save Your Sanity.”She is also an avid animal advocate, dedicating her life to providing a voice for those who cannot speak. She donates her time, talent, and money to animal welfare organizations. When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her husband and their two fur babies, doing yoga, and tending to a small jungle’s worth of houseplants.Social Media links:LinkedInInstagramFacebookYouTubewww.YouHadMeAtNo.com - get a free downloadable "How to Say No" Cheat Sheetwww.SherylGreenSpeaks.com - main website📩 Connect & SupportSubscribe on Substack: kristenhenry928.substack.comEmail the Show: [email protected] & Join the Newsletter: kristenhenry928.substack.comSupport WYA: Leave a 5-star review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts to help this work reach others!
