In today’s episode we talk to Rosie Acosta about the docu-series she helped produce called Balance: A Perimenopause Journey that is currently on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.  Rosie’s journey through personal challenges , including early menopause, has contributed to a life devoted to healing, growth, and service.  This conversation felt like a supportive conversation between girlfriends about our personal journeys with perimenopause. We talk about: Rosie’e early years in East Los Angeles as the daughter of immigrant parents that she describes as tumultuous and challenging. How Rosie found meditation and yoga early in her life and how it helped her self-reflect early and ultimately led to her work in the world. How perimenopause was the most challenging, dark, horrific experience Rosie has ever had which is why she wants to educate women about this process. Rosie’s journey of infertility which was happening simultaneously with perimenopause, although no medical professionals caught this leading to additional suffering. Hormone replacement therapy and how it helped Rosie feel like herself again. How menopause can be an amazing entry point into a new life.
