Tara Askham is an award-winning finance educator, published author and mentor, and founder of TKA Finance Training. She helps small business owners and non-finance leaders understand their numbers with confidence, not jargon. She is a member of Xero’s Financial Confidence Taskforce, a Steering Committee member for the UK Government-backed Maple Review, a consultant to global awarding bodies including AAT, and a funding panel member for NatWest S&CC Charity. Her mission is to bridge the gap between accountants and business owners through practical, confidence-building financial education. We chat all about the numbers, understanding your numbers, and why. Tara shares her back story which started with a Blue Peter Appeal, training to be an accountant, and how she turned up for a college course then found herself teaching it the following week.
