213. How to stop improving yourself and get into flow
from Wild Wellness with Jess · host Jess Reid
I used to feel like if something in my life wasn't working, it was because I needed to improve myself. I needed to be more something or less something. More loving, more patient, more disciplined, more grateful, more content... less selfish, less lazy, less overanalytical or less sensitive. Can you relate? What I have come to learn is that believing I need to improve myself is internalized shame. Shame is the belief that I am wrong, bad, broken, not enough, or too much. Now, when something isn't working in my life, I don't shame myself. Instead, I realize I am simply arguing with reality and out of flow. In this episode, you'll learn: How to know when you're in flow vs. arguing with reality, what each one feels like and looks like How to use your environment, your emotions, and your body as mirrors and signals for what your Self truly wants Some personal, vulnerable, and nuanced examples from my own life about when I was out of flow and how I got back in Let's Go Deeper Together Join the Wild Wellness Women's Circle (monthly membership) Enroll in Rewild Your Wellness (lifetime access online course) Learn more about one-on-one coaching Free Resources Feel how you want to feel NOW with my Free Desire Map FREE Masterclass: Discover Your Spiritual Gifts Sign up for a FREE 1:1 coaching curiosity call Let's Connect!
