218. Mega Fest GO Adventures

Lured Up Podcast 218 Record Date - 4/28/22 Publish Date - 4/30/22   We held off on recording live earlier in the week in order to maintain our embargo on the late week news! We start off with the Mega system revamp that we have all been waiting for! Niantic may have finally hit a home run as this update really engages you with the mechanic and makes it seem worth it to Mega Evolve! Hopefully our Mega Kangaskhan Mega Moment will go well with all the damage boosts!   Pokémon Air Adventures is next on the calendar and we have our first taste of Mega Legendary Raids! Mega Latias and Latios bring new moves and potentially a new level of Raid Difficulty! The revamp of the Mega Energy System will help all Trainers that choose to Raid going forward!   The Pokémon GO TCG Expansion has been revealed! We now have our first look at the card art which brings Pokémon into the real world, while still continuing the great tradition of artwork that we know and love. From Full Art Team Leader Trainers to Snorlax blocking a walkway, this expansion will undoubtedly cross over Trainers from GO to the TCG and vice versa.   The May Content Update is here and while we don’t have too many details, we do know that it will be packed with events. It seems Niantic has settled in on a pace that gives us a few days to breathe between events where we can also score the exciting vanilla Seasonal Spawns.   Finally, we Poke The Bear over the impact that Remote Raiding has had on the game and local communities. While we all love to Remote Raid, contemplating what has been lost at their expense is a bit eye opening. Niantic will have their hands full trying to balance this out, and we don’t think the Community will be ready to accept any of it!
