22 | Guest: Davy Crockett- Ultra Running Women Breaking the Gender Barrier

from Ultra Ladies Podcast · host Nancy Shura-Dervin & Sarah Ter Har

In this episode, our favorite Ultrarunning Historian Davy Crockett tells about “Historic Women Breaking The Gender Barrier.” Women are still in the minority in the sport, but that is slowly changing. While we are pushing forward, it’s good to look behind once in a while and honor those from history that helped get us here. Davy is the creator of the Ultrarunning History Podcast and is the director of the American Ultrarunning Hall of Fame. He is also an accomplished ultrarunner, having run about 150 races, with 108 of those being 100-mile finishes as of 2022.
