From Trump to FOX and everywhere in between, the manner in which people are using the wildfires to attack diversity, equity, and inclusion programs is ignorant, sexist, racist, and more. We expect this from them, but we have to fight harder to challenge the ignorance and hate and bring people together. There is a narrative that America never experienced a natural disaster under a White male leader. We must all elevate our work to bring people together because these people have nothing but hate and scapegoating.
