#23 Became Aware Because I Became Aware

from Shift Today with Alison · host Alison Schuh Hawsey

I have had a flood of reveals, releases, and epiphanies coming to me lately all about awareness.Such asYou only know what you know.Growth comes by engaging with others and listening to what they know - doesn't mean you need to follow their path but you gain knowledge - such as becoming a parent storyThe best mentors were engaged mentees - share memories. One thing that annoys me is a "know it all" - why - because I use to be one. There was a time in my life when I was so desperate to feel heard that I felt like I had to know it all, be it all and do it all.Recently I was triggered by people who act the same way I once did.I thought for a while that I was brought into their lives to help show them that it's a selfish and lonely way to be.But now I realize that they have been brought onto my path to remind me that I needed to be that way and go through that time to become more aware.I think I've mentioned in past episodes that I occasionally reread my journals when I'm trying to find something as a reference, and I just came upon a piece I wrote. I thought this fit perfectly with the discomfort of becoming aware of myself, and I thought you might connect with this piece. So here it goes. Thank you for joining me today.
