23. JP The Activist: Addressing Protest Culture

I gave my life to Jesus in 1998. I was 19 years old. Naturally at an age like 19, I was lead by many emotions and angst as a teenager. This episode speaks to the angst, conversion, questions, then rage, then repentance of my walk with God from 98 to 2016. I don't discuss all of the events that took place, I mostly discuss the events and thoughts that I had from 2002 to 2016. In 2003 I entered college as a non-traditional student and that really shifted my world view for many years. I think it's important to be honest and transparent about our maturation. As I got older I saw my politics and my convictions change. In 2016 I had an encounter with God that really shifted and clarified so much for me. This is part 1 of a working series on my progression and politicization. I thought it was important because in this political season many are chomping at the bit to gain our attention and I believe we can be lead by our emotions easily, as I was.
