230: Sam Explores a New Era [Magic: the Gathering]

With 30 years of complicated backstory and powerful cards, it can be a little daunting to get into Magic the Gathering from any angle these days. Fortunately, Hasbro has just gone belly-up and we bought the entire IP for $20, and Sam has some ideas on how to start everything from scratch. He's going to make the story more approachable and play with tension on a meta-level, Tanner's going to find ways to explore worlds without needing to devote entire sets to them, and Lindsay is gonna look in from the outside and tell us what a normie thinks of all this.
