239. The Child at 9

Melisa Nielsen at Waldorf Essentials focuses on the child at 9 today.  Melisa has been guiding us through a series of the changes that happen every three years.  This is a great tool for Waldorf homeschooling but especially parenting.  At 9 years old - You may see them distance themselves more or move back into the family bed for a bit.  - It's extremely important for you to be in a good space with yourself and your partner because the 9 year old is watching it all and will know if you aren't in a good space.  - This can be a hard time for the 9 year old and a very challenging time in your parenting.  - When you are prepared with tools and understand what they are feeling the 9 year change doesn't need to be scary!
