In deze aflevering laten Jeanne en Jan-Peter zien hoe dit vaak terug te voeren is op twee fundamenteel verschillende ideeën over leren: Behaviorisme en Constructivisme.

Je hoort hoe deze theorieën leiden tot totaal andere ontwerpkeuzes en waarom het misgaat als je ze verkeerd inzet. De aflevering maakt scherp wanneer je gedrag wilt automatiseren en wanneer je juist wilt dat deelnemers leren afwegen, interpreteren en beslissen.
