Da kann Klaus Kinski als Jack the Ripper (1976) noch so schön grimassieren und das Trio Gyllenhaal, Ruffalo und Downey Jr. auf der Jagd nach dem Zodiac (2007) Killer detailverliebt wie kaum ein Procedural zuvor die Polizeiarbeit zeigen - es bleibt das Gefühl, hier so manche Gelegenheit zur Brillanz verpasst zu haben.
