All right, team welcome back to your favorite podcast. It better be. Yeah, I fucking better be. Lorelim pod the unofficial podcast about Lorelimbus by two people who know nothing.

But I'm a lot. Share a racial smile. Yeah. From a distant.

Yeah. I'm Erin. I'm Zoe. Hi.

How you doing, Erin? What's new? What's up? I mean, you're ready for law school?

Ready to learn the law? Um, execute it. Justly. Maybe I'm doing my best.

Yeah, I did. I did. I could. Yeah.

Ah, Zoe, doing two of these on a row is. Yeah, team, we decided we were going to bang out two today. We were originally decided we were going to bang out three and then we know we're going to fuck out of that. That sounds like a lot of fucking work.

Oh my god. I got me funny that long. We're trying to like stock up so that when Erin goes to law school, we have a buffer a little bit, but. Yeah.

But, yeah, but. Oh, I indeed. Okay. Welcome.

Didn't we have to do that? We did it. I fucking did it. I'm like 30 minutes ago.

Yeah. I can't even remember if you said this, but we're covering chapters 51 and 52. Yes. Of Laurel and piss.

Yeah, this is episode 26. Hell yeah, it is. Laurel and pod. Okay.

So guys, if you'll remember where we left off, Artemis was being a bitch to Persephone and Persephone. Yeah, she was. Yeah. Comte du jour, as we say.

Oh, so friends. Oh, wow, wow. Wow. And Persephone was like, let me fucking tell you something about your brother.

And that's where it left off. And the first thing that we see after the intro graphics are these words that are written out in this handwriting that's kind of uneven. It just feels really, really raw. And it says the same thing Persephone's left, each bubble said.

You know what? Let me tell you something about your brother. Yeah. And then Artemis puts on this stupid hurt concerned as little face where she's like, what about my brother?

So it's interesting to hear you interpret that like that because I am the first one to want to hate on Artemis. But I actually was thinking in this scene, Artemis, are you being able to kind of step back from yourself and try to actually listen to Persephone having been hurt? Yeah, that's a good point. Are you?

I was trying to give Artemis the benefit of the doubt in the scene, not that she actually gleaned any meaningful information, but if Artemis is truly being able to sense that Persephone is earnestly upset and try to make space for Persephone to talk about it, in that case, I would be impressed. I would be impressed by that as well. Yeah. But I just feel like my immediate reaction to this was, oh, and now Artemis is sad about the idea of like a power...

What are you saying is that my brother? Exactly. Even if it's not like an affected thing like that, still just the concept that she would dare to pretend like she is somehow even a little bit the wrong party in any of this. Yeah, I honestly can't tell which of those it is.

It could be either. And it could be both. Yeah. I think it's possible that she is both willing to hear this, but also like I just don't want to see an emotional reaction from you.

This isn't about you. Right. You know? You got a lot of redemption arc to do before we give a shit about what you feel.

Yeah, exactly. And so Persephone is just thinking to herself in that same kind of raw handwriting font, what am I supposed to tell her? I don't even know what to tell myself. Oh, I mean, I'm like, that is so fucking real.

Yeah. That like not knowing what to tell yourself about an interaction you had where you don't know if it was okay or if it was something you did that made it okay or if it was just objectively not okay. Yeah. Yeah.

And given that you are emotional about it being able to tell what happened, it's hard. It's really hard. Oh, Persephone just really feel for her. Yeah.

So we get this handwriting in her space with these panels of Persephone like still with the red thorns and like this whole red background with these streaks in it and she is clearly just in distress. But then we get back in that same handwriting. I don't want to hurt her. And then we see the Apollo staff lines.

And I feel like in such a fucking sharp contrast from this where Persephone is really hurting and decides to keep that on herself so that she doesn't hurt Artemis versus like the phone call that Apollo had where he made some shit up to upset Artemis because it fit his angle. Like it's just such a sharp contrast from like the way this episode starts in the last one. Yeah, we chose back to like everything we've been saying about the villains in this where like there are some villains that are complex and you can relate to them even if you think they're shitty like Minthe where there are some villains who are objectively just shit and that's Apollo. Yeah, exactly.

And it's so refreshing to see a story that has that variety of antagonists. I agree. I agree. Yeah.

And like we have them all in and have them all be believable and like yeah. Also I feel like that whole sentiment was close to a fuck Apollo that I'm doing. Oh, yeah. Chug.

La Chaim. If you guys will remember for those of you following along at home. Maybe you still mean you're going to say something about Fiddler on the roof? No, no, no.

I was going to say. That we have an ongoing drinking game that anytime we say Fleck Apollo we have to drink. Yes. So if you're under 21 you can play along with water or a nice soft drink.

Yeah, last week we suggested apple juice. That coconut water. But yeah, for those of you who are 21 plus feel free to play along with alcohol. And so like when Aaron was just saying Persephone basically says nothing.

I'm sorry. And her body language is really like caving in on herself. And I think if Artemis has half an eye open she can tell that Persephone is very upset and not sharing the full truth with her. Yeah.

And she does stay wait Persephone. Yeah. But Persephone has decided that disengaging from this conversation is the best choice at this moment. Yeah.

So she's already like, she's like, I don't want to be late for work. I'm leaving. And in this midst of this conversation she has forgotten to put on pants. Like God bless.

She will go through the next episodes just straight up looking like she's wearing a cammy and a cape and I know. And you know what? If I had Persephone's body I would also be wearing a cammy and a cape. I know.

Maybe Sans cape. So but yeah, Artemis is like wait for Stephanie and Persephone. He's like, I have to go. We'll talk about this later.

Bye. And then we see the title panel in its episode 51 distance. Oh yeah, no distance. I don't want to know.

And we start off with an underworld skyline. And there are these epic big searchlight things that are just going. This is just always happening in the underworld. They're just always like hard party vibe.

But also don't you dare fucking stop working. This is the underworld. Yeah. And we see Hermes flying in carrying Persephone.

And Persephone looks as uncomfortable as anyone is ever fucking dead. The way he's carrying her is like, imagine there's a person standing. And another person comes up behind that person to give them like a bear hug. But then they both lift off for flights in the air.

It's like the least logical or comfortable way he could possibly be carrying her. And frankly the least sexy. Yes. Like Hermes, why was this your choice?

Did you think you would get to grab the boobs? What was your thought process? Yeah, it is hilariously bad. Like what are you doing?

And he looks very obviously uncomfortable. Yeah. And again, I asked how are your shoes staying on girl? God.

What are you doing? My goddess. That's all. And then we cut to Hades, standing in one of his windows presumably.

Just being like, I don't have right to be jealous. I'm not jealous. I shouldn't be jealous. I'm letting him.

Like they like try to talk about that. Like I'm no right to this. I have no claim over her. But stuffy, I'll tell you.

I have my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish. I can't wait. I can't wait. Hades has so many earrings.

This is not my panel. Wait, wait, wait. Where Hades has three plus earrings. Is that what he's got, Aaron?

You tell me. This entire chapter. OK, I have to scroll through this whole thing now. Every panel of Hades ears has these earrings in it.

I have to go look at this right now. I totally missed that. He's got the cartilages. He's got like all the fucking little weird inside ones.

He's pierced for Jesus. Oh my God. That's like, what? Like what else the fuck is that?

Yeah, the dots are in like all of the close-up panels of him. Hades, I swear to God, has his ears pierced 4G? Oh my God! Totally missed that.

That's wild. And I don't think future episodes or prior episodes, but maybe I've just missed it in other episodes. I think too, this episode is the only episode where we see him with this particular tea crown thing. We see him sometimes in like flashbacks or like imaginings with it.

Yeah, I think we see him with other crowns. Yeah. But I think like we don't often see him in this. So I could imagine that it's like he wears those earrings on the days when he like does judgments or whatever.

And he wears this crown. Yeah. That it's a part of the like underworld King Regalia, you know? Totally could imagine that.

Yeah. I just felt that that needed to be broken. Yeah, that was crucial. That was crucial.

Every time I have a note about his earrings, I'm still going to read it because it's like 20 times. Right. Also like shout out to Hades for acknowledging that he has no right to be jealous. You know, being able to like identify that and be like, I still have these feelings, but I need to like respect all these things.

Like shout out Hades. It's normal and fine to feel that as long as you are able to get that perspective. Yeah, exactly. OK, and so we kind of transition then to Persephone's now in the underworld core building waiting basically for she assumes Hades is going to come meet her because she's supposed to report to Hades.

And so she's waiting and she's looking at this fish tank that has an eel in it. Yeah, it's very cute. And so Aaron, I don't know if you've seen all the commentary in the fandom about eels. No.

OK, so basically on Twitter and also on like some fan sites, there's all this commentary about eels because eels are symbols of fertility. Mmm. And eels also, I'm going to do a really bad job of bridging this, but in like myths across lots of different cultures all over the world represent all these different things. And the spectrum of things they can represent is everything from like death to fertility, to like like fidelity to your partner.

You know, it's like all these like different things that tie into the myth of Hades and Persephone. That's cool. So I'm highly confident that at least the fertility part was very intentional. Rachel doesn't do anything on accident.

Yeah, and so she's just staring at these eels. Oh, sorry. I had one more thing to say about this. She's staring at them in this fish tank.

And it almost looks like as we get the second shot, that's kind of like a wide shot of her up at the fish tank. And it almost looks like as she was approaching the fish tank, she started to sprout flowers because there's like a partial trail of flowers behind her. So I was speculating like, are the eels helping activate her fertility power or something like that? So she gets closer to them.

She's like sprouting flowers. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah, I was just going to say she's in this room is massive and empty, except for this fish tank in the middle of the room and Persephone. And it's like, where's what are we doing?

Yeah. And so how can he come? So it's like Persephone. And Persephone recognizes her and it's like, how can he?

It's been too long and they going for a hug. It's very cute. Yeah. And then Persephone kind of starts like looking inside the side and it's like, oh, there's Hades.

I thought I was meeting with him and her flowers are turning a little blue. Yeah. Baby girl, you're not subtle at all. No, you're not, girl.

But I love you. It's so cute. And how can he be like, oh, well, he's kind of in a meeting. So you're stuck with this old gal, which I feel like is hilarious.

It is perfect. It's her being like, ah, I know you two have some thing going on. Sexy thing going. I don't want to hear about it.

We're doing it. The door. I love it so much. Yeah.

Yeah. Persephone is like, that's fine with me. That's so good. In this panel where she goes, that's fine with me.

She does a classic Persephone move of maneuvering her body in somehow the sexiest possible way. While also looking like she's not trying to do that. And it's like, wait, are we seducing? How can you not?

The boat is out. Percy, baby girl. You just can't help it. The pheromones.

Yeah. I can smell them from here. And so Persephone takes second his arm and is very cute. And they go on the little tour and he's like, come on, I'll show you what you're doing.

Yeah. So they enter the library. And it is awesome. Yeah.

So I tried to do some research about this, but I wasn't successful in it. So basically, they enter the library and we see these shades who are light teal glowing bodies that actually kind of look like the really original concepts for Hades. If you've seen them on the like the whole Laurel and this page, just because they have like flames coming from their eye sockets. And how can he go on to explain these shades, basically like right the entirety of each mortal's life on a scroll.

And when they die, the scroll gets reviewed. And I was trying to research if this is a thing in Greek mythology, like if there are shades who do this, but I wasn't actually able to find anything on it. Yeah. So it's not clear to me if I just researched poorly or if this is like Rachel's creative license.

Yeah. If anyone knows, please let us know. Yeah. I don't know.

But I feel like it's a common trope or like a common concept in fiction that whatever the afterworld entails, there is a record of people's lives. Like I feel like the idea that they're just like records of people's lives is a very common concept. You know what I mean? Yeah.

And I've certainly heard in Greek mythology of like a thread of life or like other fiscal representations of a person's life. But I don't know how much this like the scroll concept is specific to the reality of Greek mythology. I don't know. I mean, I think to learn more.

Yeah. Me too. Yeah. I also was like, bitch, you're telling me this isn't digitized.

You guys couldn't automate this process because I know you could have. But what fun with that. Yeah. And so they go, they write everyone's life down as it's happening on these scrolls and perception is like, whoa.

And then she's explaining that like when a new mortal is born, a scroll is started and Persephone goes, what happens when they die? For shadowing. And this panel is a close up on Persephone. Her in profile and her hair is swept in front of her eyes and her hand is kind of clutching her chest.

And she looks like she is emotionally impacted by this question, but is also trying to hide it, which is like Aaron said, a little foreshadowing about her concern with mortal life and after life. Yeah. And he's just like, well, then they filed it away into the library. And this panel is a fucking nightmare.

So I know I have the same note. I'm like, you're fucking telling me this is your file. Is this some pile of shit? You can know we don't know.

System is not active in this library. Girl. This is just better. OK, you have shelves.

Don't need shelf is just a pile. Yeah. Yeah. That's a nightmare.

It is a nightmare. And like the fact that she said, well, it needs filing away in the library. Like, bitch, there's no filing happening here. You cannot be telling you this is filing.

Not convinced me that is file. Like, this is another incident where I'm like, honestly, hey, is it? I'm questioning your choice is here. You don't put a log on Tartarus.

You don't have an organization system. Seems like you need to modernize. Yeah. Yeah.

And he's like, and that's going to be your job now is the file. Like, system of organizing these things or whatever. Yeah. Like, most mortals lead very, very boring lives.

But sometimes people are interesting or exceptional. Then when someone is one of those things, we want to know about it. And then we get this amazing panel of Hades. Yes.

So he, this panel is giving so much life, making everyone pregnant. In fact, new life. New life. All of our rooms.

New scrolls for everyone. Y'all better start some new scrolls for the babies that will be born nine months from now because. Yeah. It is Hades looking his most regal.

Yeah. Obviously, shirtless. Thank God. Yeah.

So I was like, oh, God, I hope Hades actually reviews mortals' scrolls' shirtless. Then I realized it does seem like he's wearing like a toga. Yeah. And it's just over like one shoulder.

But whatever. That's fine. As long as I can see the muscles. That's great.

Yeah. And he's like looking very seriously at the scroll, like taking his kingly duties to serious, making judgments. Serious, muscular, King Daddy. And so he could use basically saying to Persephone, you'll be assisting Thanatos and Hermes with gathering information for certain trials.

And in this panel, it's really obvious to me that Hecadie also has bad ass ear piercings that are not dissimilar to the ones that we see Hades having. Yeah. And Persepani has the exact reaction that I have whenever anyone tells me that I will be doing something. And she's like, really?

You're going to let me do that. Yeah. And in this panel, her white flowers change to all dark blue. I was wondering what you think about that.

OK. So my only thought on that was one, they basically were just talking about Hades. And her flowers are dark blue now because she's odd and honored and excited that like Hades is putting that much trust in her. You know what I mean?

OK. Yeah. I could see that. It's like Hades likes me enough.

Exactly. He thinks I'm smart and can help with this. Yeah. Because she's like, really?

You're going to trust me with that? Which girl's name? I'm always like, I can barely feed myself. And you want me to do this?

Myself thing is wildly variable. I'm extremely overconfident in certain tasks and other tasks. I'm like, I certainly could not do the bare minimum of that. Like anything related to my college major, please do not speak to me about it.

Because I don't know. I literally anytime anyone asks me something related to our college major, I'm like, no, I have blacked that out. Like you don't understand. I do not know.

Yeah. I do not know. I don't think I ever knew. But if I did, I have intentionally tried to forget it.

Please don't ask me about this again. Yeah. But Hecity has complete confidence in Persephone because she knows she's an overachiever. And she's like, of course, it'll be a breeze for you.

Yeah. And I feel like when everyone says some shit like that, I'm like, that is a guaranteed way to make sure that I definitely can't do this job. Right. Like a lot of pressure and stress.

That's just what I needed to succeed. I promise I'll let you down. Yeah. And so Hecity gets a phone call.

And she's like, why don't you go for a walk around, get your bearings. And then like Hecity, you remember that the last time Persephone went for a walk around Underworld course, she literally went to Tartarus, right? That is literally my exact note. Like Persephone, sit still right here.

Yeah. And Persephone's just like, yeah, OK. And I'm like, girl, what? Why are you not alarmed?

And so she goes and calls the elevator. And I'm like, bitch, you're going to leave the floor? Yeah. Girl, you're about to get lost.

And so the elevator door opens. And Hades is in the elevator. And her flowers have been still in turn blue. And she goes, Hades.

And he goes, Persephone, because remember, he just told himself he was going to distance himself from her and give himself an authentic chance. Yeah. And he looks really sad to see her. And Persephone comes up and pokes him in the chest playfully.

And it's like, how are you? And he's like, I'm busy. And he takes her hands off of him. And I'm like, that is fucking cool.

I know, Zoe. I know. If I were Persephone, I would be like, OK, bye. I guess I'm never speaking to you again.

Exactly. This interaction is cruel. This is so cool. It's not just like, oh, OK.

I'm not interested, but like, oh, OK. Yeah. It's like, no, go away from me. I actively do not want to.

I'm removing your hands from being near me. Yeah. It's like Hades, fuck man. I know.

I actually have a couple of fuck you Hadeses in here. And Persephone, though, doesn't really seem to notice very much. Yeah. Like, she's like, hey.

I'm glad I mean, into you, I made you something. And she pulls out of, I don't know where, because remember, she's wearing almost nothing. And she doesn't seem to have a bag. And it looks like she's reaching into her belt.

I don't know. I'm just assuming she has a purse that kind of blended in. Yeah, with the cape or something. And she pulls out a whole last pan.

A bottle of fuck. A bottle of fuck. Like, it is a brownie-pan-sized thing. Yeah.

And she's like, well, I don't really have money to buy you anything. But you've been so helpful. And I just wanted to give you something. And she like, stutters a little.

So timid. And she's blushing. And she just holds it up in front of her inner flowers. And she says, so cute.

And Hady looks better at like, bitch. Hady's like, bitch. Like, it is like, bitch. But still being a bitch.

And still has piercairs in at least five locations. And he's like, sorry, I can't accept that. And she's like, don't be silly. Of course you can.

Persephone's like, no, fuck you. Come on, that's dumb. Yeah, just this whole scene. Hady's is such a cool ass bitch.

I know. And he goes, my apologies. I can't accept gifts from employees. It's not a good luck.

Which fuck you? Are you serious? You keep giving Persephone things. Bro.

And that's what she says. She's like, wait. So you can give me gifts. and I can't give you anything, that stuff.

Good for you, Persephone, you know. I'm saying that. She's like, I understand that you are the king and also my boss and also I'm in love with you, but you're being a dumb ass stupid little bitch right now. I'm gonna tell you about it.

I'm gonna tell you. I was like, she is an icon. Also though, simultaneously she is blushing and shaking and I'm like, girl, that's fucking real. Like the uncontrollable adrenaline of this situation is so fucking real.

Yeah, I also feel like if I were in this situation, there's an 80% chance I would just start crying and not be able to control it. Yes, I agree. Just like start sobbing. I would just, no, you know what I would be doing?

I would be digging my nails into my body. I took enough pain to distract myself so I didn't start crying until I got off the elevator. 100%. This is a bloody palms moment for sure.

God, and then the elevator fucking bings and Minthe walks on. Yeah, with her fucking like 10 inch heels. This panel where Minthe walks on and she says, oh hey, and see it's 80s. This is the best she's ever looked though.

Exactly. She looks amazing. She looks fucking amazing. She looks beautiful and stunning, like a fucking star.

Her hair is perfect. And Persephone looks like an infant child goblin gremlin cartoon in the background. Exactly, we've been rained on the back. And I think it's meant to be from Persephone's perspective.

Like she feels so inferior to Minthe in this moment. Yeah. Yeah, and Minthe walks on and she's like, oh hey. And then walks up to Hades and like grabs him by the tie and kisses him.

And I was like, OK, Minthe, you're a dumb bitch and I hate you, but this is exactly the way to play this. Yeah. And my question was, did she see Persephone? Because that's my question.

Oh, I actually just totally assumed she did see Persephone. My question was, do you think that from Minthe and Hades first interaction that Persephone witnessed, she already understood they were like an item, or do you think this is when she realizes it? Oh, that's a good question. Because in the first interaction, I went back and read it.

And Minthe does grab his tie. Yeah. But that's like the extent of it. And then they go off and yell at each other, and then they walk away.

So I kind of feel like this might be the moment she realizes they're together. That's a good point. It totally could be. Because I feel like if Persephone had known about Minthe ahead of time, she would have behaved differently.

Yeah. And she did ask him to be a girlfriend. He was like, no. Right.

But yeah, so I was wondering, so Minthe comes in, she kisses Hades very exactly the way you should play this. And Hades is uncomfortably staring at Persephone the whole time, making eye contact. And it's obvious that he's like, fuck, I don't want to be kissing Minthe in front of Persephone. But if I were Persephone watching this happen, I would be like, oh, he wants to make sure I see this.

Oh, shit. I'm like, I'm thinking about that. You're so right. I would definitely just bury myself in a hole underground at that moment.

I'm like hitting every elevator button. I'm like, get me out the party. Excuse me. Excuse me.

I need to go. Sexy mire- Oh, good. It's a nightmare. It's a true nightmare.

Also, relatedly, it is so fucking embarrassing that Persephone has blue flowers in your hair, and it's like, girl, to bury yourself alive. Fuck, you need to entomb yourself. No, totally. Those flowers are like her saying, I have the biggest direction of my life.

And to be clear, it has your name on it. Here I am in this close. Tidy's face with you and your girlfriend. That makes me want to curl up and die.

I cannot believe that Persephone didn't quit this moment. Or at least rip all of the hair out of her head. No. I feel like if I present me, I have just shaved my hair and hands it in my presentation.

And painted my full body orange so I'm unrecognizable. Immediately moved back home. We're done. We're fucking done with this.

I'm a mortal realm now, and I'm a bald chick named like Jennifer. And I'm orange, and I'm here to play. Let's go. But that's the end of that episode, so that is rough.

And then the next episode is a continuation of this elevator scene. It's a write-up. And it's such an interesting frame, because interspersed with the frames of the action with the characters and the dialogue in it are these frames that are just the elevator buttons sliding up to show that the elevator is descending. So it starts on floor 96, and kind of goes down, and we get to like, I don't know, whatever, floor 40 or whatever by the end.

And it's pretty cool. Yeah, this elevator frame, I think, really makes it feel a little more surreal. And a little more like time is maybe speeding up or slowing down or both or something. And also like there's an end point.

And there's this pressure that it's like a terminal thing. Yeah. And also from Persephone's perspective, it's like I only have to survive this for so much longer. It's like a countdown.

But also, again, Persephone isn't even going anywhere. She's just wandering around. Bitch, get off on any floor. Yeah, this is a nightmare.

Yeah, this is truly a nightmare. This is truly a nightmare. You are on this fucking elevator with the man you love, and his girlfriend making out. You need to get the fuck off that elevator.

Why are you making eye contact with you? You need to get the fuck off that elevator. And he just rejected your baked goods. You literally just showed up with blue flowers of learning this in your hair, offering him baked goods.

He was like, no thanks. I'm going to make out with my girlfriend in front of you instead. Like cut a hole in the elevator and throw yourself out. Honestly.

So it picks up right where we left off with Hades and Minty, like making out. And Minty's tall as fuck. She's just like at Hades' face level. Yeah.

And Hades eventually kind of like pushes her away and is like, not at work, please. Yeah, and his face when he pulls away is hilarious. Yeah. And he's like covered in her lipstick now.

And I just want to point out, she still has earrings on. You're right. But at this point, Hades kind of like gestures with his head. And Minty turns around and sees Persephone, whose flowers are falling out of her hair.

Still blue though. Still blue. But Minty looks genuinely surprised in this pair. You're right.

And so then I was going back and forth on like, but she's a good manipulator. She's a good manipulator. But like Hades can't see her look surprised there. You know what I mean?

Yeah. But Persephone can't. Like, I don't know. I think you're probably right that she's surprised.

But I could see her just fronting. I mean, yeah, my initial assumption was that she did all of this intentionally. But I kind of like the idea that like she didn't know Persephone was there. And like, that's just how she actually wanted to greet Hades.

And I'm like, you know what, Minty? Look, when you like greet people with affection, good things happen. You got to really fucking shove it in Persephone's face. It should be nice more often.

Maybe that things will happen for you. Yeah. But so she looks at Persephone. She's surprised.

And then she's like, this is excellent. Yeah. And she's like, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there, but she's smiling.

Now she's like holding Hades' face. And Hades is sweating. And like, how did I get out of this? And Hades has a lipstick mark on his face from where she was just kissing him.

And I'm like, Minty, if you were a real one, you would wipe that shit off for him. Yeah, that's embarrassing. Yeah. And Persephone's flowers are like, oh, gone now.

Like, they've all fallen out. She was saying they're like, holding her fucking buckle up, speechless. And Minty starts talking to Hades again. And like, playing her fingers across his chest and stuff, still obviously being very humbly and flirting to me.

Like, did you see those updates I made to your calendar? And at this point, when she says, well, don't forget to look, she's getting kind of blurred out. And the image we see is Minty in the foreground, but a little bit in soft focus. And Persephone in the background, in focus, with this bright white light on her, which I take to be metaphorical.

But she's looking to the side very dejected. And I take this to be completely Hades' perspective. Like, he's going out of focus of listening to Minty and on to focus of just looking at Persephone being dejected. Yeah.

I also think it's interesting, because we can't see any Persephone's features in this. She's just looking away. But it's like, even the bare bones of Persephone are the most beautiful thing to him. And the next panel is him.

And his eyes are this muted red, and he's frowning. And he looks very sad that he made Persephone sad, which, like, bro, you didn't do that. You made intentional choices that made Persephone sad. So.

And then Persephone's hair now, she starts getting green in her hair. But like berries are something in them. So Rachel once specifically said that Persephone is growing deadly nightshade in this scene, because she's jealous of Minty. That's amazing.

Because I was going to say, I think that we in some of the comments had posited that green is her unhappy, not angry. And someone suggested it was specifically jealous. And that totally makes sense that it's not a shade. And the fact that Rachel said specifically that this is deadly nightshade makes me think that maybe we shouldn't try to generalize the green.

And she'd think of each green as maybe being a specific plant. Yeah. Which would totally make sense, because when she's in Tartarus and sprouting green, she's not jealous of anything. Right.

But yeah, so she's growing deadly nightshade, and she's very unhappy. And so then we get to wherever if I can form Minty's getting off on. And it bings, and Minty goes, that's me. But before she gets off, she has to be a little bit more of a bitch to Persephone.

Unreal. And she looks at Persephone's baklava box, and she goes, what a cute container. So homely, like something my mom would have. Bitch, it's a box.

What are you talking about? It's just a box. The very similitude of the statement does not matter. It's just her being petty.

I also feel like, wait, Minty, are you for real telling me you're going to try to come at Persephone about class and money and like, being a bensian? If I were for sure, it would have worked. I mean, yeah. I would be feeling salty and weird about myself now.

I would be too. But I also feel like if I were Minty, I would not be trying to draw that contrast at all to how people compare us. Fucking like, which of the two of you is homely? Exactly.

Good point. Good point. And as she's exiting the elevator, she goes later big blue. And I'm like, honestly, barf.

I love it. I don't care for this at all. Unless there's daddy or dick at the end of it. I don't want to hear it.

Daddy and dick is implied. How can you possibly use big blue and not have that implied to be a sex thing? In this scene, it just doesn't do anything for me in this scene. I respect our differences in the opinion.

But I mean, I think she's also definitely trying to be over the top. And Minty walks out of this elevator and is crushed it. Like, you can tell she's really fucking proud of her. Yeah, she literally does a little like, yes.

Yeah. But also though, I was like, you're getting out of this elevator? Girl, if I would be there for a while. I'd be there wherever you're going.

I am going. Yeah. I think I look forward to a great, hard degree. We see the title panel in its episode 52 going down.

And I'm like, that's what she said. You fucking dumb. And also because we're like scrolling down, it's very cool. It's a very cool episode.

Oh, yeah. Good point. And so now, Hades and Persephone are just standing in this fucking elevator being uncomfortable. They're not saying anything to each other.

And Persephone is a real one because she taps her lip to point out that Hades has lipstick on himself. Hades, if you need any additional evidence that Persephone was the one for you, this is it. Yep. And I guess it's a mirror, this elevator.

Yeah. Which, which I was like, oh, I have feelings about mirrored elevators. Because on the one hand, you're like, great. can see if I'm a mess.

On the other hand, you're like, now I have to look at myself. This is a nightmare. On the third hand, mirror demons. If there's no situation facing each other, you know 100% mirror demons live in those mirrors.

And 100% so many demons. You're literally in the underworld. You're our demons. No mirrors.

No mirrors anywhere. And also, when Haney swipes the lipstick off his face, I realize he's wearing gloves. Why are these the moods? Is it just because it's cold?
