If you've ever had to wear a hideous bridesmaids dress, you might appreciate today's episode on 27 Dresses, the 2008 wedding rom-com starring Katherine Heigl as a woman who is "always the bridesmaid, never the bride"— quite literally, 27 times. Costumes were by Catherine Marie Thomas (Kill Bill, The Proposal, The Flight Attendant) who designed the titular dresses that were so distinct and over-the-top, they received special nicknames from Thomas and her team, ranging from Gone With the Wind trash-fabulous, to a bright yellow "Peep's Dress," a hot pink, ruffled "Bahama Mama," and more.
