#27 Has Religion's Downfall Been Predicted?

In 1917 three young shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, were apparently visited by the Virgin Mary and told them of some upcoming events which one of the children, who later became a nun called Sister Lucia, wrote down as prophecies and two have come true with some accuracy. The third is to do with the downfall of the Church and was apparently dated.  In the Southwest of France there are a lot of churches dedicated to Mary Magdalene and the story goes that she and her husband, Jesus, with a young child landed in Marseilles after being smuggled out out of Jerusalem after the Crucifixion. What would that mean for Christendom if that story was proved true? Would that mean the end of Christianity and perhaps all organised Religion? The Prophet Malachi and the Book of Revelation also foretell the downfall of Christendom and, some believe, all religion. All these events appear to point to a changing view of religion by the masses  - and by Governments.
