Laulu viis on pärit samuti Kadrina kihelkonnast, selle kogusid Voldemar Rosenstrauch ja Karl Viljak 1913. aastal Leenu Ahlbergilt (EKM ERA, EÜS X 2529 (61)). Koos laulmine tekitab tunde, nagu oleksime sugulased, vennad ja õed. See on seesama tunne, mida laulukoorid laulupeol tunnevad - ühtelaulmine ja ühesolemine. Võib ju mõelda ka laiemalt - kui mitmed erinevad seltskonnad laulavad samu laule, mida teame meiegi, siis tunneme ka nende teiste suhtes teatud hingesugulust. Ja veelgi laiemalt - võibolla on see sama tunne, mida me nimetame rahvustundeks, kõneldes sama keelt ja elades samas inforuumis?
