28: My Wake-Up Call This Week: Navigating Scary Videos and Bedtime Meltdowns
from Emotionally Intelligent Parenting with Stephanie Pinto
After removing YouTube from our home about 4 months ago (see previous episode on this in Dec 2023), we had a huge setback this past week. This is a pretty vulnerable episode, I wish I handled myself and the situation better... but, lesson learnt. I know you'll take a lot away from this episode - I speak about boundaries, safety, dealing with big emotions, dysregulation, anxiety and even laughing in the face of a crying child (yep, that was me. Told you I'm not perfect!).Do your kids access YouTube in your home? How does you find it - fine, worrying or downright stressful? I'd love to know.***If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you.
