#29 Finding presence and connection during the hectic holiday season

from Connection First · host Fabiana Coll

Send us Fan MailWhen, in a few years, someone asks our children, "What were Christmases like at your house?" — what do we want them to say? What memories do we want them to carry with them? It’s not the gifts that truly stay in their memory. It’s that feeling of warmth, the sense of connection they experience during this season, the moments spent together as a family, and the overall atmosphere they perceive at home. For years, I’ve complained that in Australia “everything happens at once!”: Christmas, the end of the school year, summer… it’s a lot! But this year, I decided to do something different. Instead of staying stuck in the complaints, I chose to approach it from a place of gratitude and to find a way to enjoy this season with more calm. I haven’t managed it every single day, but I have definitely felt much more present (and less rushed!) than in previous years. To make that shift, I put into practice a few things that have really helped me.Today, I want to share some of those ideas with you, because I know I’m not the only one with a head full of a million things. I hope they help you create real moments of connection with your children and enjoy a more present, mindful Christmas.Enjoy it! 🎄❤️—You can reach me by email at:[email protected] on Instagram.Support the showConnect with Fabi:Email: [email protected]
