This week we engage with the second half of the world’s most famous prayer. After starting by helping his followers understand their relationship with God and encouraging them to bring their needs to Him, Jesus turns his attention to the spiritual battle we all find ourselves in. Our society would see religious belief as something that robs us of life, Jesus, however, claimed that he had come in order that people might have whole and full lives (John 10:10). As he draws his lesson about prayer to an end he points his followers to the kinds of things that enable them to live in that freedom.
