#2982026/04/08(水)The “Eat it!”ceremony ニュースで見たのですが、4月2日に栃木県の日光のお寺で「強飯式」という行事が行われたそうです。山伏と呼ばれるお坊さんが、6キロくらいの山盛りのご飯を、頂戴人と呼ばれる人たちに、「食べろ!」と言います。頂戴人はご飯を頭の上に置いて、許してください、という気持ちを表すそうです。面白い行事なので、来年は生で見てみたいなと思いました。にゅーすで みたのですが、しがつ ふつかに とちぎけんの にっこうの おてらで「ごうはんしき」という ぎょうじが おこなわれたそうです。やまぶしと よばれる おぼうさんが、ろっきろ くらいの やまもりの ごはんを、ちょうだいにんと よばれる ひとたちに、「たべろ!」と いいます。ちょうだいにんは ごはんを あたまの うえに おいて、ゆるしてください、という きもちを あらわすそうです。おもしろい ぎょうじなので、らいねんは なまで みてみたいなと おもいました。I saw in the news that on April 2, a ceremony called Gohanshiki was held at a temple in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture.Monks called yamabushi tell people called choudainin to “Eat it!”while presenting them with a huge mountain of rice weighing about six kilograms.The choudainin place the rice on their headsto show a feeling of “Please forgive me.”It looked like such an interesting event that I thought I’d like to see it in person next year.【Today’s words】強飯式(ごうはんしき)/ Gohanshiki is a traditional ceremony in Nikko where monks offer a huge amount of rice and say, “Eat it!” The people taking part are believed to receive protection from bad luck and blessings.行事(ぎょうじ)/ event, ceremony山伏(やまぶし)/ yamabushi, mountain ascetic monk山盛り(やまもり)/ a huge heap, piled up high頂戴人(ちょうだいにん)/ person receiving the offering生で(なまで)/ in person, live📍日光山 輪王寺(にっこうさん りんのうじ) https://www.rinnoji.or.jp/en/
